Die Einfürungsveranstaltung wird am Donnerstag, den 29.Jan.2009 um 15:00 in Raum MI 02.13.010 statt finden.


The main purpose of this course is to convey fundamental knowledge in state-of-the-art programming on graphics processing units (GPU) using Microsoft's DirectX 10 application programming interface. Students will be given an introduction to object oriented programming using the C++ language before they start to learn the basic principles of the programmable graphics pipeline on modern GPUs in detail. The sheer parallel computation power of DX10 compliant hardware will be accessed using HLSL shader programming not only to implement up-to-date graphics algorithms but also for the acceleration of general purpose computing.
